After listening to some confessionals:

I *never* like when people (Kurtis) want to lose challenges just to take out someone. I think it's pretty pointless to lose a challenge and get rid of someone who apparently "everyone" you're working with wants out. If they're working with you, they'll still want that person out.

Regardless, I do think this Kurtis/Rob/Billy/Adrienne thing is going to work pretty well. Anders will go but where do they go from there? Do they just take out Dustin or do they go back to their original plans and take out Alex/Jay/etc.?

Adrienne wants to take out Mike because apparently he doesn't like her. I think that would be huge if Adrienne DOES stick with Dustin/Anders and takes him out (if they can get Alex/Jay with them which I don't see happening but idk). If she does flip does she tell K/R/B this? Or does she tell them that she's doing Mike no questions asked?

Billy is impressing me with his social game. I think Kurtis will start to pull an Anders and become this vocal leader once Anders is gone... which leads me to wonder why Kurtis wants Anders gone in the first place? But again, if he is that anxious to take control of the tribe then I don't necessarily blame him.

This entire cast is really anxious and they all want to make these huge plays, but long term I don't know how feasible that can be. Since there will be no swap, these huge moves are just going to cause disloyalty within the camp. I am excited for the messiness but I question the motive behind a lot of these moves happening.

Overall I see people like Billy, Rob, Harrison & Jayden making it far at this point. They're playing (somewhat) level-headed and are willing to make smart moves, not big moves.

Back to my daily programming of me hating on Daniel Kilby:

I just don't even understand his line of thinking. By doing these extra things like his Edgics, he is just throwing himself more and more into this diluted line of thinking. For example, his obsessions with Jayden and his fascinations with Jenn.

Regardless: AMAZING ENTERTAINMENT. I love it. 10/10.

I'm curious to see how dynamics change after this posting challenge because holy fuck it's gonna be a long one and holy fuck it's gonna be a grind. I remember staying up with Tyler and RJ practically all night and all day to do predator/prey and the remaining OG Gwale in this exact challenge in the Fin*l K*v*chi round (rip Michelle Yi) -- they're some pretty pivotal rounds to develop some relationships that can forge yourself a ticket to the merge and beyond; not only that but I'm hoping some chemistry forms on both ends because whether they sense it or not, they're stuck with their tribes for the long haul and they need solid tribe dynamics to survive with a lot of premerge left to play.

This has been my blanket statements post full of general comments that really don't contribute to the game at all but make me feel like I'm contributing.

i just can't fathom Kilby's thought process that Jenn got a clue for having the lowest average in blinding light, gave it to him, and then he proceeded to tell her about it because he thought she was doing it as a test?

like

sometimes I feel like people are their own worst enemies in these games. i often find myself projecting plans I'd come up with onto other people when in reality they aren't constantly overthinking and being crazy like I am. and Kilby is definitely guilty of that. who the fuck is giving an idol clue to someone they claim is their ride or die to test them and see if they'll tell them about it? jesus

So I just started watching at all, so I didn't know anything thats been going on and I had time so far to watch all of Utchen tribe so thats all I can give thoughts on.

Kilby - I liked him, he's very gamer-y but seems to know whats going on so kudos to him. He's really into the game.....like Jen Crowther level and thats a good thing for Endure. I do think it's a bad sign that Jayden has already started noticing that he's playing too hard since there's only been one actual vote. He seems like he's in a fine spot for now but I dont see him making merge because he will either get turned on by his own group for overplaying or will go at a swap for the exact same reasons.

Jayden - I think he's my favorite so far. He's doing a great job of staying out of the line of fire. He does have a little thing with Jacob but he's winning that battle right now and was smart enough to just vote out Tony and not let his emotions get the better of him and is playing a long game. I hope it works out for him because he seems in a strong position barring a swap.

Sarena - I would love to be her friend. She's taking the game seriously without being gamebot about it. I loved watching her breakdown all her research into the clues she got from Andrew. I did the same thing in Okanagan and read a whole English to Okanagan language guide I found online, only for it to have nothing to do with that. So Sarena, if you read this after, don't feel bad cause we've all done it! I like that she's in the top of the minority currently and hope that if/when they take out Jacob she doesn't freak out and just goes with the flow because I thinks she's liked well enough to not be the next target, even though she probably would feel like the next target.

Jacob - He's very overwhelming, especially at 1.5X the speed. He's in a lot of groups and he does have a 4 group he's comfortable with but it's just difficult with that because he's kinda gamebot and Kilby is also so their paranoia is hurting both of them in the long run but Jacob much quicker and Kilby is paranoid about him. Even with Jacob liking his group of 4 he's already trying to set up those 3 for failures (Sarena too social, Andrew too strategic etc) so it seems like he's already figuring out ways to sell this alliance out and I think that comes across overall and might be whats making him a target.

Jenn - I really like her, Jacob is right to be worried about her. I dont think she's the strategic mastermind he's making her out to be, I just think she has common sense, which beats out strategy any day in my book. Bitch is a crock pot and can just simmer her way through the game. I think she has everything it takes to win the whole game. She catches the right cues to move forward well and fixates on the right issues without letting the other stuff overwhelm her to the point of fucking up her own game, which she easily could have when she heard her own name. She got on call with her new alliance to make a showing, but didn't overdo it by seeming desperate. I also think if theres a swap (which with the twist there probably won't be) she would do well in a minority because by that points sides are usually established and challenge strength isnt as big of a deal.

Joey - I just realized this Joey is a Joey I already knew and fucked over super hard in a game once. I found his confessionals to be really funny but I would jizz myself if I were in his position. He's in a really great spot strategically. No matter which side he would've gone with, he's at the bottom, but who cares? Being at the bottom of an alliance is a really easy fix when you have ample time to work magic and he does have that time. He could just invest his time into getting closer with jean-jayden-Harrison-Kilby and find his ride or die and hope they can all be together. At worst, if its not looking like he can crack the majority and they lose a lot of times in a row, he could get his ride or die plus the remaining outsider at final 6 of this tribe to just force a tie. Theres a lot of room to work here so he should be around a while.

Andrew - Andrew always works so hard in games, but he just doesn't seem to connect well enough with people, ever. He just doesn't come off trustworthy, even though he usually is overall. I think Andrew's problem is that he plays like its chess and the other players in the game are the pieces and his game will go perfectly if he moves them where he needs them to be, which is true but other players aren't chess pieces. Other players are who you are playing against and everyone has their own moves to make and he should just wait and see what other people do and base his game off that. Doing things like, voting Kilby as a throw away vote are reckless. People who do this, dont present themselves as trustworthy because they can't be depended on to vote how they say and also they will do things without consulting their allies and that makes them feel like you aren't very close. I dont think Andrew ever intends to come off that way but thats just how people see it.

Harrison - Man, he's a talker but what he said was good information so no harm. I like him....I feel like I like this whole tribe overall. Harrison and Jayden final 2 is my ideal thing right now. Im all about this. I love them bouncing off each other and they both are a good fit for each other. Im surprised at how aware in this game almost everyone is yet they are ok to be patient. Especially the Wildlife Conservation Coalition Initiative or whatever. Whatever they're called I love them. Sign me up for a badge

I agree with Stephen, it's so critical to developping bonds, and Anders is off feeling comfortable, as he lacks any and all self-awareness of the fact that people talk to Adrianne? And who's on the tribe call? Kurtis, Adrianne, Billy, Mike, and Rob keeps popping in when he can.

Such an important development that the others just.. aren't coming in on.

On that note, if Anders does get blindsided, we may just see Dustin/Alex/Jay in the minority, and a Dustin idol is something that I would like to see.

Would be sad to see Anders leave this early though.

THOTS AFTER EPISODE 2

I know this is kinda late since episode 3 is well underway but I've been busy with hosting stuff so you're getting it now while I take a break from following the challenge.

First RIP Julia witchy icon! I don't think she realized just how much commitment was needed for Endure.

Also RIP Tony! Tony had been showing me potential as a slow-burner. He kind of reminded me slightly of Sean in season 2 at the early stage of the game. I think if Tony was on a season with the Kavachi he could've gone super deep into the game. Sadly he just didn't talk enough game on a tribe that was immediately intense with the game talk.

OK now to try and talk a bit about each player. Some of this may incorporate early episode 3 stuff too but w/e

Another very general comment as I'm a bit behind on confessionals from the past day, but I LOVE this posting challenge so much, and I love it because it does give you such an opportunity to bond with your tribe. Going into this challenge in S5, I was solidly in the minority but I think this challenge provided lots of time to shine socially...I'm personally not someone who stands out and talks a ton in group calls, but something about 20 hours of it that forces you to open up and get comfortable with these people.

I think it was a turning point in my game last season, and so I hope it can function that way for SOMEONE this season! Shoutout to all my introverts out there.

I just came here to correct Stephen again. This is not the exact challenge of the final kavachi round. That was our hitting posting challenge BUT it is similar.

Caught up on confessional after a busy weekend.

I love the scheming happening on both tribes. On Vecher, I love that the Kurtis/Rob/Billy group is trying to reel in Mike. Mike is the type of person that won't ever really shine socially, so it seems to turn a lot of people off from him. I liked that Kurtis mentioned he knew Mike would be valuable eventually and has been working hard to form some sort of relationship with him. Anders hasn't been doing that at all and because of that, Mike seems totally on board with taking Anders out.

I do think there's a chance Anders doesn't leave this round if they lose, though. Adrianne talked a lot about how much she doesn't like Mike because of comments made by Mike that pissed her off. He apparently talked a lot about how he didn't even know she was on the tribe and all. I think Anders and Dustin's best play would be to go ahead with the original plan and try voting Mike out because I really think there's a chance Adrianne would do it.

I think Jay is also an important person that no one seems to have swept up yet? I'm curious why no one has tried to bring him into any sort of alliance. I think Anders biggest problem is that he is a very social player but he's also bad at reading his situation and he's definitely becoming comfortable. There's no reason he shouldn't be looking at Jay and thinking to himself "this is someone I could definitely need moving forward" and trying to make something happen with him. He needs him.

Utren is just as messy and I'm loving it. Kilby is entertainment gold and I hope him sharing the idol with Jenn allows her to find it. Jenn seems to be questioning him hard because he's it seems like he's all over the place with his thoughts when talking to the players just like he is in his confessional. Did he share it with anyone else? I'm surprised he didn't tell Jayden as well and if he hasn't yet, I'm sure he will soon.

I really like the alliance of 5 on Utren, but I'm sad it doesn't include Sarena. Like Sam said, he reads seems to be pretty on point, but she's just missing a big piece of the puzzle and doesn't seem to realize there's a bigger alliance that doesn't include her. I think she's likable enough that the other side would take out Andrew and Jacob before her and that could buy her some valuable time to make something happen for herself. Hopefully she can find the idol before Kilby or Jenn since Andrew shared the information with her. I love when people in the minority have an idol.

Harrison and Jayden seem to be in the best positions. A lot of people like them and underestimate them. I've been really surprised by both of them because during their interviews they were two people that I was like "eh" towards but I'm very happy they're both here to play. I would love for the two of them and Joey to form a concrete F3 alliance, that's my dream.

I think most people agree that Joey is such a great player and I'm happy to see him doing well right now. However, I think he needs to be very careful how he plays this position. He's banking on the alliance of five right now and since they know he's practically in the middle, they're going to be very wary of him. He told them that Sarena, Andrew and Jacob came to him about working with them and I wouldn't be surprised if it puts a bigger target on him going forward. I hope not but I can't see how it doesn't.

It's funny to see how similar of positions Joey and Adrianne are in on each of their tribes. Both are in a bottom position of the majority alliance but both are also being courted by the minority who think they have the majority. It's going to be interesting to see how they both work their way through that position and if they both have success or if they both get fucked over moving forward.

I'm guessing Utren is winning the challenge right now? I hope so because I want idol paranoia to start on Vecher now too.

As of right now the score is 20-12, with Utren winning. Alex still hasn't posted for Vecher, so if he doesn't score a post before the end, that'll be -4 points for Vecher and I could see it being a reason to target him if they lose especially if they close this gap a bit. Both tribes have a lot of pieces racked up, so points could roll in any of these hours. Vecher needs to keep getting the RJ idol to prevent Utren from pulling even farther ahead.

Also Utren has consistently had more people online than Vecher which has helped.

Right after I posted that, Vecher scored 2 points, so they're down by 6 now.
