Unpopular opinion ahead
I mean... yes it sucks, but Nick should have tried to win.
It's final three, you SHOULD want that glory of winning the final challenge, even if you think someone is going to take you, you cannot forget what kind of game you are playing. Nick should have kept going until he couldn't instead of actually doing a "good enough job" and then expect to be dragged to the end.
Miller is sticking to his very first deal, and whether he wants to win or not, that's his prerogative. He won the challenge, so he can pick whom to hand the victory to.

Okay yeah sure. Fair point.

Well yeah that's how the rules of the game work, but this kind of glosses over the 9 1/2 hours of manipulating Nick into quitting early. If he won outright and wanted to play kingmaker, that's whatever. It's still lame to play explicitly for somebody else, but I've seen that before. But when you mess up the challenge and dedicate just as much time into manipulating a person who considers you their best friend in the game into quitting as part of an extended tantrum just so you can get your way, it's pretty outright scummy.
It's an action that's explicitly antagonistic and by definition crushing to the person you pull it on. To be in someone's ear for SO DAMN LONG saying "You can trust me. You can trust me. You can trust me." only to pull the rug out from under them so violently the moment they put their trust in you is so immensely shitty, to the point where Nick is pretty sure that they were never really friends in the first place. It's going out of your way to hurt somebody who has faith in you just so you can show them they mean that much less to you than somebody else. That's why I'm so peeved by it.

Just want to pitch in here and say that yes Miller sucks and has really made the end of this game anticlimactic. I'll be one of the first to say in any game that someone who has lost sight of the win no longer deserves to waste a spot, especially when they start surviving over people like Vic who really put their all into the game. But I think it's important to not lose sight of how this game is going to end. It may not have been the most entertaining but we are probably going to crown an incredibly deserving and downright amazing winner (assuming it's Kate). Every game has that one person who messes it up a bit just like the actual show has its share of Kyle Jasons and Will Simms' but I think this has been an awesome season overall and the ending is almost guaranteed to be a good one even if it is a little bland, entertainment wise.

Good point, that IS pretty scummy. He should have just won outright, and not manipulated Nick in that way, and it does especially suck that Nick is thinking that they were never friends in the first place cause I know Miller definitely meant it. Miller has done a lot of questionable things like this the entire game though, so I guess I'm not too surprised? I still think Nick should have taken faith into his own hands, especially after the game he played, had he won that final challenge on his own right he could have easily won the game even against Kate (IMO). But, shit happens, and Nick is too trusting. At least he can say he is going down as one of the most robbed players in Endure history tho!

I feel a little better hearing Miller's confessional and knowing he's not actually going to hand it to Kate and he's going to still try to win, he said he's just okay if he does lose to her but he still wants to win. So we'll see how final tribal goes. I just hate that the way he went about it was so dirty to Nick and poor Nick is questioning the friendships. I hope they'll be fine afterwards.

There is now a PW Rites of Passage subboard. It has a thread for each player (there are two pages of threads). Go through and leave some final comments for each of the players and make them feel special :) Just a few days left, thanks for making it a good season!
