ROUND ELEVEN SCORES
Blindside! Samantha Vicario is lost to a power move by Holli, Kate, and friends, leaving her four allies stuck with ugly zeroes for round 11. Kate's idol play on herself cancels out four votes and makes her the leading point scorer at this point in the game. Vic wins immunity and is second but on life support after losing his sister who was clearly a casualty of him being immune.
With Sam going, we are able to crown our LAST PW STANDING, and it's current leader Shadow! Shadow's team of Vic, Kate, and Sean may clearly be at odds with each other with targets on all three of them, but for this moment, they leaving him standing in the sunlight, basking in the glory of lone dominance. Jacob and Ryan losing Sam doesn't set them too far back though, as any team right now with Sean on it will struggle to hold a lead. Stephen also waits in the wings, hoping that Nick can cash in some clutch immunity wins and rebirth Stephen into the top of the table.
Surprisingly, although Sam was picked the maximum seven times, her exit does not send anybody to total elimination, although it does introduce Jack, Taylor, Patrick, Matt, and Jonathan to the Life Alert Group. Many teams are mathematically eliminated at this point, so all we have left is playing to be the last one standing.
Oh and DK is in 31st now #BigMoves

ROUND TWELVE SCORES
Strategy if you want to win fantasy: KATE KATE KATE. Kate wins the pressure cooker, extending her lead as the most valuable player over Vic, who is now 5 points behind her, and Holli, who is six back. Nobody else is within 10 points of Kate Dogg. This is reflected in the PW standings where everybody in the top six has Kate on their team. (Big shouts to Taylor Ukmar who is the seventh member of the Kate Klub and found a way to sit outside the top ten.) Shadow, Jacob, Ryan, and Stephen continue to battle for the top without any major separation happening. Interestingly, if Sean wins immunity at all, Jacob will be mathematically eliminated despite being in second place.
Okay but nobody gives a shit about the top of the table. Scott got eliminated, and only one player had Scott. It pains me to say it, but your not-so-humble narrator, your guide to all things fantasy, your favorite production member, your Mufasa in the clouds providing words of wisdom, your friend, brother, teacher, ally, rival, lover ... RJ has finally been eliminated. No departure thus far has had a bigger impact or left a wider hole than him, and he shall sorely be missed, I'm sure.
Don't cry for me, devoted reader. I will remain here, watching your every move up and down the scoresheet. You may look behind you and see two sets of footprints in the sand, and know that I am there beside you. But you may notice that during the most tumultuous and dramatic moments in the game, there are only one set of footprints, and ask, "RJ, why, when I needed you most, were there only one set of footprints?"
And I respond, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you. When you saw only one set of footprints, it was then that I was shitposting in the VL."

I'll update this one last time after the season, but we have a WINNER so here are your ...
FINALE SCORES
It came down to the wire folks. The big four of Stephen, Jacob, Shadow, and Ryan battled hard to have their Kate-centric team be the one standing atop the scrap heap when all was said and done. Genaveve and Taylor rode a late immunity streak from Miller to climb the ranks and reach the top ten. Stephen was the last viewer remaining with two players on his team for a long time, but was Nick's presence enough to stave off the pack. After 17 rounds our winner, by exactly ONE POINT, is ...
|
TEAM BOOGERZ
Unfortunately, Nick's lack of an immunity win left Stephen out in the cold when Nick was eliminated as the final juror, allowing Jacob to vault him and clinch victory by a single point. Stephen and Shadow share the silver medal, while the bronze goes to Ryan Lilly, who wishes that Holli could have held on just a little bit longer.
Despite Miller trailing Kate by only one point heading into FTC, Genaveve, the person with the highest non-Kate score, could hardly get within 25 points of the power players. Nobody was really able to match Miller up on a good team, leaving the top of the leaderboard flooded with Kate teams.
The highest scoring viewer without a player in FTC is Lindsay! She will never read this.
Although Stephen lost out on the overall lead, he comfortably takes the title of highest scoring production member ahead of Sam (68), Ashlee (47), RJ (32), and Jen (27).
Most importantly, after his season long battle, Daniel Kennedy remains comfortably out of the lowest position and poetically settles in ... with the second lowest score on the table. You shot your shot DK. Nobody can deny the personal journey you've taken along the way.
With that, I hang up my narrating spurs, loyal readers. It's been a pleasure sharing this adventure with you all. We've laughed and cried, loved and lost. We've seen triumph and defeat. And maybe in the end, we learned that the fantasy points we so sorely sought ... were inside us all along. For the last time, this is your not-so-humble narrator, RJ. Over and out. |
