Congrats to you all! You should all be very proud of yourselves for getting to this point. We all couldn't do it!~
Anyways, I really don't have /too/ much to say.
Fran, I AM SO PROUD OF YOU! When the odds were against you, you absolutely persevered on and never gave up. Maybe I'm just a pessimist, but I was 100% convince that Chonos was done for after my blindside, but after idol'ing out Fabio (wouldn't have had it done any other way gurl ♥♥♥) and watching you and Ciera power on all the way to final 5?! It was quite an impressive feat and so much fun to watch. And yes, you won a lot of immunities, but I don't think you should be faulted for that at all. You won when you needed to win. They could have gotten rid of you with the Matt vote OR with the Hali vote, so to just call you a gamebot-slave is unfair. You had the social suave to get you through those rounds! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. :)
I guess I have one question. Why did you and Ciera choose Fabio to idol out? You said you took my boot personal, was taking out Fabio a more personal or strategic move. :o
Chelsea, I hated you for voting me out and flipping, but look where it got you lol haha. It obviously worked out for your better because you're sitting in the finals and I'm not, so good job!
What I wanted to say to you was that a lot of people here view you and Brett as the same person. From my perspective, I felt like you the one calling the shots and stuff. What made your game different from Brett's?
Brett, Hi. I mean, we didn't really know each other. You took out my #1 ally and then blindsided me. I think you were kind of a follower most of the game. :o I don't hate you at all or hold a grudge or anything, but why would I give you my vote to win? You can state how you and Chelsea were different and prove me wrong that she was the brains of most of y'all's decisions or not! Other jurors will read these, too. So it's not just for me. :P
Anyways, absolutely no hard feelings at all! I had fun and this was such a fun game to be apart of! Good luck to all three of you. :)

Thanks for all the kind words Misty ♥ And thank you for asking this question. It is bar none my favorite round of the game so I would love to give everyone a window into why we did what we did.
I would be lying if I said there weren't personal motivations involved in it. I remember how much you praised Fabio and told me how well you had connected. And yes it is just a game, he stuck by his original alliance when he voted you out. But I couldn't stop thinking how that must have made you feel which made it all the more satisfying to be able to vote Fabio out. There were also huge strategic benefits to voting Fabio out. Firstly, Fabio was no slouch in challenges. With him out of the picture there was one less person I needed to worry about. But more importantly, no matter how many times I had brought it up, people would vehemently disagree to voting Fabio out. And this was after having seen him ace the Majority Rules challenge which, imo, is one of the most crucial challenges. Not the answers themselves. But the winner of that challenge is the person who knows how the rest of the players are perceived and has an idea about the thought process of the rest of the players. And so I felt, it was going to be much much more difficult to vote Fabio out under normal circumstances. Additionally, it was clear that both Brett and Chelsea would eventually turn on Hali. Regardless of whether or not they were lying to us that round, Hali was the name they suggested. And like I said in my OS, I believed Hali to be the one person who I could possibly deflect the target onto in the event that I was vulnerable. Voting Fabio out was what made that alliance of six crumble in my opinion. He was the bridge between the Jaruud group and Brett/Chelsea. With him out of the game, there was much more wiggle room for both Ciera and I to make something happen again.
I hope that gives everyone an idea about why we targeted Fabio. Let me know if you need more Misty ♥

Hey Misty! I’m actually really glad you brought this topic up so that I can give everyone a little insight into how Chelsea and I are two very different people.
In my opening statement, I talked about the Chase vote. After he sent you to exile without consulting the rest of the tribe, I knew that you had to have been his best ally in the game and the fact that he was willing to go rogue just to help out his ally scared me a lot because who knows what else he could do when the merge came. I knew that taking out a big player like him that early in the game could both help and harm my game. I knew that when the merge came, if the Chonos members found out that I was the instigator behind Chase’s departure, they would be gunning after me for revenge. You guys can argue that you’re able to remove your personal feelings from your actual gameplay, but look at the evidence. Fran legitimately stated above that she “would be lying if [she] said there weren't personal motivations involved in it.” I’m not lumping you (Misty) in with Fran and Ciera, but I knew in my gut that if you all found out I was the main reason Chase left, you would take it personal and would not trust me. Now how this all actually fits into your statement above. Due to my aggressiveness in the Chase boot on NuOronar, I ended up being the one Chase and Matt both targeted and voted for. Because of this, I knew that moving forward, I would need to dial it back a lot more with my aggressive gameplay or I would be targeted come the merge for being a threat. This is where Chelsea came into play. A lot of you are aware that Chelsea is a very outspoken person and isn’t afraid to just outright confront you about what she’s thinking. She directly interrogated Hali if she was going to rocks and if Hali was voting her. Fran even said “Gotta love Chelsea and her straight up asking tendencies <3” which shows Chelsea is definitely not the reserved type. Because of Chelsea’s more outward personality, I knew that she would be the perfect cover for me and my gameplay. By aligning myself with a bigger personality and keeping her close, I was able to make the strategic decisions I thought would work to my benefit and then let Chelsea go out and be the main aggressor in fulfilling those decisions while I sat back and only chimed in after Chelsea had already initiated the plans. That way, if the plans ever ended up backfiring on us, people would see Chelsea as the mastermind behind it all merely because she was the more assertive of the two of us and therefore, would want to go after her first which would allow me more time to disassociate myself from Chelsea and hopefully wiggle my way into another alliance or plan before people even realized I was having a huge hand in the decision making behind the scenes. Basically, I deflected the target off of myself onto Chelsea once the merge got going because I needed that extra insurance to keep me safe if everything went downhill. I knew I couldn’t afford to be seen as a forceful and aggressive player and so after I realized I was still being seen as a target at the beginning of the merge (shown through the 4 votes I received at the 2nd tribal of the merge), I quickly moved back into the shadows and let Chelsea carry out the “dirty work” if you will.
This situation is actually very much like Fran and Hali’s actually. However, I believe it helped more in my case because in Fran’s case, her and Hali were on separate sides of the alliance spectrum whereas in my case, Chelsea and I were working together. This not only allowed me to have her as a shield to keep me safe, but I was able to confer with Chelsea and actually implement plans through her which helped me to get the things I wanted accomplished actually accomplished whereas Fran was not able to filter in her plans through Hali because they were not working together and therefore, Fran was still public target #1 on the Chonos alliance.
I believe you should vote for me because of the reasons I outlined in my opening statement and because I showed to you that I was not just a goat with no brains. I actually am glad you saw me as a follower because that was the persona I wanted to play out for the beginning of the merge and because you believed I was a follower, it proves that it was a successful plan. Overall, it was nice to be able to get to know you in the short time we did play together. Thanks for reading and I hope it is enough information to show the differentiation between mine and Chelsea’s games as well as show that I was not just floating along to the end being a follower.

I mean looking from the outside in, Brett and me did have a similar game. He was my closest alliance member for most of the game. But where my game was different than his is the people I got close to all made it to the final 4. I did a better job at protecting the people I knew would not vote me out. But we did make a lot of moves together, I mean I couldn't have got here without some form of an alliance. Me and him did see eye to eye on all the vote offs, so yeah. I guess the best answer would be that I filled the final 4 with people who were not going to vote me out, and the people who wouldn't vote him out got voted out. | |
