The way you worded it put it like that Matt. I know it doesn't matter now, but our entire convo throughout the game was you talking to me like that. And I told Fran I don't think you meant it, but it came off like that, and that is the reason I did not talk to you. People in the game even said what you told me was rude, people sitting in the jury with you. |
Kk
you're the finalist lol, why are you talking about how I handled a situation? And of course someone would tell you something that you would want to hear, Chelsea.

Fact of the matter is Chelsea, regardless of how I handled the situation, you were a shitty conversationalist. Not just to me, not just to Fabio, but it's pretty universal. You can use all the excuses you want, but it starts to stack up when it's multiple people who feel the same way. So what if I hurt your feelings unintentionally Chelsea, you gotta deal with that shit in life AND in Survivor. Maybe a better way to deal with that is to confront me, tell me that I'm crossing a line, if you feel I'm oh so hurtful instead of ignoring me... like you did several others.
I'm glad you have an excuse as to why you were ignoring me, but where's your excuse for others?
Also Brett I'm sure my fellow jurors would love an answer to my Q!!!

Hey Matt! Sorry for the late reply to you as well, but I will try to make it quick and condensed. It probably won’t end up that way, but I’ll try
I am just going to start off right away by saying that voting you off was by far the worst part of my entire game both personally and strategically. Voting you out was the hardest vote I had to make in this entire game. I can 100% say that and every single person who played this game can see me saying it right here so I’m not lying when I say it was yours. I enjoyed talking to you on NuOronar a lot as well, but I do realize we did become more distant when the merge came. I will not deny at all that I did lie to you on your way out. It was honestly the biggest mistake I made and there’s obviously nothing I can say or do that will change the personal impact it had on you. However, I will try my best to explain what happened on Day 20.
Because it isn’t worth arguing over this, I am going to clear the air between you and Chelsea right now. Chelsea did have a say in you going home. If I’m being honest, that was probably one of the votes where I actually had the least input as to who went home other than the Fabio vote. Chelsea did personally feel hurt by what you said regardless of whether it was intentional or not and I’m sure it wasn’t, but it was enough for her to not want to vote with you. However, with that said, Chelsea specifically did say that she would put her personal feelings for you aside and vote for whatever would benefit her and my games the most. For that vote, I did not dictate Chelsea’s vote because I knew she had a personal issue going on with you and if I was to butt in and tell her who to vote for, I would have lost her trust and I could not afford to lose her as an ally at that point in time. However, the real reason you went home that night was because of Fran and I will get to that more below, but I just needed to clear things up between you and Chelsea right now.
Now I am going to go right ahead and tell you that I really was considering voting with you that tribal. It was not a blatant lie at all nor was I messing with you for no reason at all. I really did confer with Chelsea like I said I was going to and I was looking at all the options that were possible. I led you on because I was considering voting your way. I really did have an “itch to flip the script” as you put it xD and I promise you it wasn’t a lie and I actually did end up flipping and voting with Chonos members later in the game which shows that it definitely wasn’t an option I ruled out at all. If you go back to that tribal, you voted Hali that night…and you were the only one to vote Hali that night. Both Fran and Ciera did not vote Hali; they voted Matty. Fran told me that day, “Matt B told me he told you that he is voting Hali which I don’t want to do.” And now thanks to her opening statement, we know that the reason she didn’t want to vote Hali was because she needed her shield in the game to keep her safe. As I said in my response to Ciera’s question, the only way I was really going to flip was if the vote was Hali because she was the only perceived threat big enough to warrant my flip. So actually, if you look at the facts presented here, Fran is the main reason that you got voted out. She wasn’t willing to jeopardize her own game and vote out Hali to save you. I honestly very well might have voted with you that tribal if I had known that we had the numbers to take out Hali. Unfortunately, Fran was not willing to budge as both Chelsea and I can prove. She instead wanted to keep Hali in the game and decided you were expendable because she knew that you would forgive her and vote for her at the end because of her social bond she had with you in the game. I am not saying all of this to take the heat of the question off of myself, but I am just presenting you with the reasons as to why you went home that tribal. I eventually knew that you were the one going home and after all the consideration I had put into it, breaking the news to you would have been horrible. Obviously, it was my mistake not having the balls to man up and tell you outright that you were going home no matter what I said or did. I didn’t want to tell you that the reason you were being voted off was because of your best ally. It would have been like an extra smack in the face right after the first one of being voted out. You didn’t lie to me when you voted me twice and I shouldn’t have lied to you when I voted you. You were probably one of the most genuine people in this game and I lied right to your face and all I can do is say I am sorry for what I did. I 100% regret it and I do regret even voting you over Fran. Even if you don’t vote for me, which I’m sure you’ve already made your decision, I am simply hoping you can forgive me for personally hurting you and maybe after the game, you can show me some more of your “Funky Fresh Beats of Matt B.” and we can talk about GTAV and other games.
Now to address the middleman statement. I firmly believe I did work to achieve that position contrary to what you believe. In stage 1 of the game, I purposely aligned myself with Christine so that I could be in that middle position. I knew if I aligned myself too much with any of the other Oronar people, I would have automatically been choosing a side thus not allowing me to be that swing vote that I wanted to be. I know I went over that in my opening statement, but that was the first and big part of putting myself in the middle. In stage 2 of the game, even though I had good relationships going with both Tyler and Kathy, I made sure that I was creating conversation with everyone else on NuOronar. I talked to you about jobs and video games, I talked to Fabio probably the most with a mix of personal and strategic talk, I caught up with Matty from our talks earlier in the game, and I even talked to Chase about the game and how it was going thus far more than once. By making sure I talked to everyone else on NuOronar, I knew if it came down to it, people would be willing to keep me safe rather than Tyler and Kathy because they hadn’t branched out enough. So although it wasn’t technically making me a swing vote because those were Fabio and Matty, it definitely gave me more of the middle position because it showed that I wasn’t tied down to a single side and was willing to look at all the options presented to me. As for stage 3 of the game, there was definitely a little bit of luck involved. It wasn’t my decision to vote out 3 Oronar almost in a row, but it ended up helping my game because it did allow me to go into that middle position. It was clearly going to be a battle between the Chonos and Jaruud alliances and Oronar was clearly in the middle. However, whereas in stage 1 and 2 I actually worked to achieve the middle, stage 3 was more of the matter of staying in the middle…and I do believe I achieved that. I could have definitely committed myself to either the Chonos or the Jaruud alliance, but throughout the merge after Tyler left, I always made sure that I was still an open vote for whoever wanted me. I did vote with the Jaruuds more than the Chonos, but I was definitely never committed to them. I was willing to turn on them if I was presented with a prime opportunity or a reasoned and followed through plan and I made sure to still have contact with Chonos members so that I was not seen as just another member of the Jaruud alliance. Fran consistently came to me when discussing possible flip scenarios because she was aware that Chelsea and I were still wildcards and were the most detached from the Jaruud alliance. So I do believe that I worked to achieve that middleman position for the first half of the game and I believe I worked to keep that middleman position after I was placed there for the second half of the game. Thanks for reading Matt and again, I had no personal sociopathic agenda intended against you when I voted you out of this game.

Personal:
1.Fabio
“Oh dude I LOVE tennis, I never got to be on the team but I love it. I played soccer too”
“Oh nice I like CoD. I don't own GTA though :( I heard they added like heists though or something?”
2.Matty
Basically, the main reason I am putting Matty here is because him and I both underwent the same personal crisis at the same time which makes me appreciate him that much more. His grandma was in the hospital while my grandpa was in hospice until he died. All of this happened during this game, but I didn’t really tell anyone other than Matty (and Tyler) because I knew he was going through the same thing and I didn’t want to have to deal with people thinking I was just saying it to get pity or lying to get farther in the game.
3.Matt
“Working, slower than turtle sex out here.”
“I'm just chillin cooked up some motherfuckin RAMEN.”
4. Ciera
“Are you sure it wasn't the wicked witch? Stole your money then headed back to Oz.”
5. John
6. Hali
7. Tyler
8. Misty
Strategic:
1. Tyler
2. Fabio
3. Hali
4. Ciera
5. Matty
6. John
7. Matt
8. Misty
Tyler- Big Bang Theory-For some reason, I can picture you fitting in really well with the four guys in the show. You have a good sense of humor and you’re smart at the same time!
Misty- Pawn Stars- Misty is a star! She also is not afraid to cut deals to get what she wants. She has got the bargaining/hypnotizing down pat already.
Matt- Keeping up with the Kardashians-It’s a REALity TV show and you’re the REAList person I know. Sorry, you know I had to do this after you used your last name as a pun for the title of this thread #badpunforthewin
Fabio- CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (Las Vegas)-It was the first show of its kind and #Fabiosaiditfirst
Matty- Stalker-Matty was always pretty reserved and hiding in the shadows, but when he shows up, he’s likely to surprise!
Hali- My Cat from Hell- On the outside, Hali is this “cute”, awesome person, but on the inside, she is this fierce competitor.
Ciera- Modern Family-Some people think it’s funny; some don’t and it’s the same for Ciera. Btw, I’m one of the people who do think you’re funny regardless of what the Majority Rules challenge said.
John- Alaskan Bush People-It’s one of the more “creative” ideas for a TV show and you are a very creative guy.

Well Matt I made conversations with the right people hence why I am sitting here, and people wanted you out for 8th.
I've already admitted my conversations sucked and you're beating it like a dead horse.
I'm sorry you don't know how to talk to someone without sounding like a dick.
